Yosemite National Park

《Masaya》

Yuika and I went to Yosemite National Park for bouldering for six days last week.
At the beginning of this tour, unfortunately I left my wallet at the boarding gate of Narita airport. My driver’s license was in it, therefore I couldn’t drive in the U.S. Yuika kindly undertook all the drive during this tour.On the first day of Yosemite, we took pictures with Bridalveil Fall in the background.

Then we went to Wood Yard area and we both tried high boulder graded V6. This problem is about 23-foot (7-meter) height and last part is relatively difficult.

We tried it several times and finally Oba-chan beast sent it. After that I tried it a few times and finally got to the point,where I couldn’t find any good hold and thought that I couldn’t climb down no longer. So I took a dead point to the lip and failed to catch it. I fell from a height of 20 feet (6 meters) on the thin, small crash pad which covered big rock under it, and injured my ankle. After that, I couldn’t climb for two days.

On the Day3,my injured ankle had recovered 60% miraculously and Yuika looked up reasonable graded and low height bouldering problems for me. For examples, ”Bear-hug Mantle (V4)” at Camp4 area. Yuika and I sent it.

Day 5, we both sent a V6-graded problem at Ahwahnee Boulders.

Day 6
Yuika finally removed a veil which had covered her wide,robust latissimus dorsi muscle.
